West Jones' Brown Latest Addition To MSU Track And Field Team
We are very fortunate to have signed Randall Brown, said Dudley. We trulyfeel he can come aboard and make an immediate impact at the SEC meet nextyear.
Brown comes to MSU from West Jones High School in Laurel, Miss. During hissenior season, he competed in the high jump, triple jump, 100-meter hurdles and300-meter hurdles for the Mustangs. His personal bests include 6-6 in the highjump, 43-10 in the triple jump, 14.7 seconds in the 100 hurdles and 37.9 in the300 hurdles.
At the District 5-4A meet, Brown won the high jump, triple jump, 100 hurdlesand 300 hurdles title. This past season he was named the MVP of the track team.
In addition to track, Brown played football at WJHS, spending time at safety andreceiver.
I'm very excited to be coming to MSU, Brown said. I'm looking forward tocontributing to the team and competing in the SEC.
The son of Virginia and Robert Brown plans to major in electrical or computerengineering at State.
