Davis, Steinberg Named To SEC Track And Field Good Works Team
Both Davis and Steinberg are members of State's M-Club, the student-athletecommunity service organization. Through M-Club, they both have participated inevents such as litter pick-ups around MSU's athletic facilities and litterpick-ups along Starkville-area highways. In September 2004, M-Club membersparticipated in a pep rally at Ward Elementary School, promoting the importanceof reading. In October, the winning class of Bully's Bulldog Blitz were theguests of honor at an MSU football game. In addition to the MSU HalloweenCarnival, Thanksgiving Food Drive, Girls Sports Day and Read Across America,Davis and Steinberg helped lead efforts on the Tsunami Clothing Drive inFebruary 2005.

Davis, a two-time all-American in the 4x400-meter relay, hails from Mobile, Ala.In addition to his M-Club community service, he has been honored with anOutstanding Community Leadership award is a member of the 4x100-meter relayteam which holds the school record (39.09)

Steinberg, a native of Mandeville, La., served as M-Club president for the2004-05 school year. She is a College of Business and Industry Ambassador, amember of the MSU Pathfinders program, has served as a seminar counselor forthe Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership seminar and is a volunteer counselor forLouisiana Girls State. Steinberg was State's H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athleteof the Year representative, received the David M. Halbrook and Newsom AcademicAwards, a President's Scholar, has been named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll,Bulldog Honor Roll, on the Athletic Council, Student Athletic AdvisoryCommittee and NCAA Academic Integrity Committee.
