Averitt took eighth with a regional qualifying throw of 156-8. In a tie foreighth place, junior high jumper Jasmine Walls cleared 5-7, meeting herpersonal best and second best mark in school history. Sophomore Nicola Wilsontook ninth place in the shot put with a throw of 42-11 3/4.
On the track, junior Zita Magloire placed ninth in the 3000-meter run with apersonal best 10:03.36. Junior Meggan Hodge finished the combined college andOlympic Development 3000-meter steeplechase in 11:05.13. Dominique Rogerscompeted in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 1:03.61.
On the men's side, freshman John Brigham finished the 5000-meter championshipwith a personal best 14:30.04, the fifth fastest time in school history.Freshman Robert Scribner ran the 10,000-meter run in a personal best 31:30.41.Sophomore Travis McKay completed the 3000-meter steeplechase championship in9:12.24.
