Volleyball Bulldogs Host Lady Rebs In Spring Finale Wednesday
"We've seen a lot of improvement on our squad this spring and arepleased to see the fruits of our labors from last fall and thisspring," said Tina Seals, beginning her second season as head coachof the Volleyball Bulldogs. "We've enjoyed a nice bit of successthis spring and were able to beat two Southeastern Conference opponentsthat we didn't beat lasat fall."
State, using a seven-player squad this spring, posted a 10-2 recordplaying in tournaments in Gulf Shores, Ala., Knoxville, Tenn., andHammond, La., notching wins over Alabama and LSU along the way.
"We've seen a lot of improvement from just about all of our playersthis spring," said Seals. "I've been especially pleased with theprogress of setter Andrea Mead. She is beginning to run ourquicker-style offense, which was one of our main goals this spring."
