Lady Bulldogs In 12th After First Round At SEC Championships
TUNICA, Miss. - The Mississippi State women's golf team shot a 330 in firstround action at the Southeastern Conference Golf Championship at TunicaNational Golf Course on Friday. The Bulldogs currently stand in 12th placein an SEC field that sports six teams in the top-25.
Sophomore Amanda Mathis shot an 81 to lead all Bulldog golfers and iscurrently in 48th place. Julia Huh shot an 82 and Beth Irwin an 83 on thepar-72 course. Rounding out the scoring for the Bulldogs were StephanieGodare who shot an 84 and Janet Dyer who shot an 87.
On a day that saw only two players shoot under par, Nicole Hage of Auburncurrently leads all individuals at 3-under par. Third ranked Auburn isleading all teams after the first round of play at 3-over par.
