Jimenez Named To The 2005 SEC Men's Golf Good Works Team
The SEC sponsors Good Works Teams for all 20 league sponsored sports. The Good Works Team highlights a student-athlete from each school who gives back to the community in superior service efforts.
Jimenez is a member of the MSU M-Club, a group comprised of State's student-athletes. He was apart of Bully's Book Blitz, a program designed to encourage and improve reading skills. The M-Club joined with the India Student Association and the MSU Student Association to provide support to the Tsunami Clothing Drive, an assistance program benefiting victims of the flooding disaster in Asia. He donated time at Aiken Village on the MSU campus, providing day care assistance at the married student housing complex.
On the course, the Allen, Texas native played in three tournaments during the 2004-05 campaign. His best finish of 48th came at the Raising Cane Classic in Hattiesburg, Miss. where he was competing as an individual at the event. He carded a career-best even-par 72 in the second round of The University Club Intercollegiate during the fall season.
