At No. 2, Lady Backs Maryori Franco and Karina Ledaja downedHayley Rudman and Tarryn Rudman, 9-7. The doubles point came down to the No.3 doubles match between MSU's Polina Kokoulina and Magdi Rekasi andArkansas's Audrey Bordeleau and Iliana Pacheco. The Lady Bulldogs won thematch clinching the doubles point for MSU, defeating the Lady Razorbacks ina tiebreaker, 9-8(4).
In singles, 21st-ranked Fodor defeated Jovanovic at the top spot, 6-4, 6-0,improving her singles record to 31-6 overall. With the win, she has tiedAndrea Lord for the MSU all-time record for singles wins in a season. Lordrecorded her 31 wins during the 1999-2000 season.
