#23 MSU Women's Tennis Team Hosts #62 Arkansas In Last Home Match
STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State's 23rd-ranked women's tennis team will host the 62nd-ranked Lady Razorbacks of Arkansas on Friday, April 1, at 3 p.m. at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre. The Lady Bulldogs have won the last four meetings between the two teams.
On Sunday, the squad will begin a four-match road stance to finish the regular season in Baton Rouge, La., against 47th-ranked LSU. The match at W.T. "Dub" Robinson Tennis Stadium on LSU's campus is slated to start at 1 p.m.
"We are really looking forward to this upcoming weekend," said head coach Tracy Lane. "Both Arkansas and LSU are extremely competitive teams, so it is going to be another battle. There is so much depth in our conference and that makes all our matches so much tougher."
Sophomore Zsuzsanna Fodor, with a 30-6 singles record, looks to tie the MSU record for singles wins in a season with a victory on Friday. The current record holder is Andrea Lord with her 31 wins during the 1999-2000 season.
