Undefeated Lady Bulldogs Host Troy Trojans
STARKVILLE, Miss. - The Mississippi State women's tennis team will host the Trojans of Troy on Saturday in a 1 p.m. match at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre. The Lady Bulldogs lead the overall series with the Trojans, 1-0. State took the victory last season, 4-3, in Starkville.
"We had a close match last year with Troy, but we are a much better team this year," said head coach Tracy Lane. "Hopefully, we can enjoy one more home match before we hit the road for the start of SEC play."
With the team's upset of 42nd-ranked South Alabama, Lane has now tied the MSU women's tennis record for career coaching wins with 68. She is tied with former women's head coach Andy Jackson, who is currently the men's head coach at Florida.
