Bulldogs Add Whittie To 2005 Football Signing Class
STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State head football coach Sylvester Croom announced Wednesday that Brandon Whittie, a 6-0, 230-pound linebacker from Jacksonville, Fla., has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Bulldogs beginning in 2005.

HIGH SCHOOL: Credited with running a 4.5 in the 40-yard dash by the Scout.com recruiting web site . . . Three-year starter for head coach Thomas Laubach at Englewood High School in Jacksonville, Fla. . . . Made 132 tackles, including five quarterback sacks, and a pass interception, during his senior season for the Rams . . . Selected to play in the state of Florida Shrine Bowl all-star game.
