Tan White Named A Collegiate Basketball Award Of Excellence Semifinalist
The award honors college seniors for their athletic and academicachievementas well as their community involvement. Three finalists for thecollegiateawards will be named during the NCAA basketball tournaments and will bepresent in Albuquerque, N.M. on April 12 at an awards dinner held at theAlbuquerque Marriott.
White, the four-time all-SEC selection, has been recognized as a StateFarmWade Trophy candidate, midseason Naismith Award and Wooden Awardcandidateand Senior CLASS Award finalist. The 5-7 guard tallied 38 points inMississippi State's (17-11) 80-73 loss to Arkansas in the first round oftheSEC Tournament. White is tops in the nation averaging 23.6 points pergameand concluded the regular season leading the SEC in scoring. Thepostseasonfate of the Lady Bulldogs will be determined on Sunday, March 13 whentheNCAA Selection Show will be broadcast on ESPN at 4 p.m. CT.
