Lady Bulldog Golfers Finish Fourth At Pinehurst Challenge
Germantown, Tenn., native Beth Irwin led the squad on all three days of the event. She shot an 81 in the third round for eighth place. Pasadena, Maryland, native Julia Huh finished a career best tied for 12th with her tournament total of 235. Amanda Mathis shot an 80 on day three for tied for 25th, and Janet Dyer finished tied for 45th with an event total of 243. Stephanie Godare recorded an 81 on the final day for tied for 56th place.
The field included #25 Washington State, #35 Oregon, #38 UNC Wilmington, #48 East Carolina, #47 Georgia State, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, James Madison, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Ole Miss, UNC Greensboro, Oral Roberts, Penn State and Western Carolina.
Next, State travels to Baton Rouge, La., on Fri., Mar. 18, for the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic. The event will be held at The University Club.
