Croom Prepares 'Dogs For First Spring Scrimmage
Croom will put his Bulldogs through a situational scrimmage Thursday, adrill that will concentrate on goal line offense and defense, kicking game,and full-field scrimmage sets. One position at which the head coach hopesto see some advancement is wide receiver.
"Right now, we have Tee Milons and Will Prosser (both from Starkville,Miss.) playing well at wide receiver, and the rest of the guys are justtaking up space," Croom said. "But we'll give them a bunch of chancestomorrow to show us something."
Overall, Croom thought his team progressed a little Wednesday, a practiceconducted in shells only (head gear and shoulder pads).
"I thought they had a little more intensity today," Croom said, "but theyshould have since they were out here in silk shorts. Tee really had a goodday, and Omarr Conner (Macon, Miss.) probably had his best day of thespring. And I thought the offensive line showed a little more ornerinessabout them and did a good job picking up our blitzes."
Croom called out cornerback Kevin Dockery (Hernando, Miss.), and for asecond straight day, both cornerback Keith Fitzhugh (Hampton, Ga.) anddefensive tackle Deljuan Robinson (Hernando, Miss.), for their work with thedefense.
