Lady Bulldog Rebecca Kates Named To SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll
While State produced six of the 318 student-athletes on the list, Floridawas at the top with 45 on the winter academic roster. Kentucky was nextwith 38 honorees and LSU was close behind with 37. The 2004-05 SEC WinterAcademic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2004 Spring, Summer and Fallterms.
Kates helped lead the Lady Bulldogs to her third straight postseasonappearance in her senior season with the Maroon and White. With the loss inthe first round of the 2005 WNIT, Kates concluded her MSU career with 615points and 390 rebounds in 121 games played. With her 107 three-pointers,she finished seventh best on the MSU career chart and her 325 three-pointattempts finish sixth on the list. Kates was also named to the SEC GoodWorks Team for the third straight year.
