MSU Women Move Up To Eighth At Liz Murphey Classic After Round Two
Germantown, Tenn., native Beth Irwin led the team for the second time this tournament, shooting a 77 and tying her for 14th-place. Sophomore Amanda Mathis finished day two tied for 25th-place with her 76. Also recording rounds of 76, Stephanie Godare is tied for 60th, and Janet Dyer is tied for 66th-place. Julia Huh shot an 85 in her second round for tied for 72nd-place.
Host Georgia is atop the leader board for a second day with a 16-over par team total. With a one-over par event total, Tulane¹s Lindsay Hulwick moved into first place with her even par 72 on day two.
The final round will begin with a shotgun start on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. EST.
The field consists of Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, East Carolina, Florida State, Furman, Georgia, Kent State, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan State, Mississippi, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Tulane and Wake Forest.
