Lady Bulldogs Face No. 21 Kentucky In First Round Of SEC Tourney
STARKVILLE, Miss. ?- The Mississippi State University women's tennis team takes on the No. 21 ranked Wildcats of Kentucky in the opening round of the Southeastern Conference Championship in Nashville, Tenn., on Thursday, April 15. The match between No. 11 seeded MSU and No. 6 seeded Kentucky is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. CT at the Brownlee O. Currey Jr. Tennis Center on Vanderbilt's campus.
Earlier this season, State fell 5-2 to the Wildcats in its opening SEC match in Starkville, Miss.
The last time the Lady Bulldogs won the first round match of the SEC Tournament was in 2001 when MSU hosted the championship. State defeated LSU 4-1 to advance to the second round.
