Satow In 10th After First Round Of Billy Hitchcock

AUBURN, Ala. ?€“ Junior Tim Satow tied his career-best with an opening round one under-par 71 in the 17th annual Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate in Auburn, Ala. on Friday. The Durban, South Africa-native sits in 10th place with six other competitors. He is just four strokes off the pace.

State as a team fired a first-round score of 305 and sit in 12th. Joe Deraney posted a 77 on day one, while Jake Lambert carded a 78. Daniel Boles and Carl Sutton rounded out the MSU scoring with a 79 and 83 respectively.

Jacksonville State is the first round leader at seven under-par. The Gamecocks registered rounds in red figures to lead JSU. Host-Auburn is three shots behind after turning in team-total 284 on Friday.

JSU's Nick Mackay shot a 67 to take the individual lead by one stroke over teammate Matias Anselmo and Auburn's Jonathan Dismuke, who both finished the day at four under-par.
