SBW Pig-Cooking Contest Deadline Approaches
STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Entry deadline for the 16th annual Bar-B-Que Cooking Contest, one of the integral activities of Mississippi State's Super Bulldog Weekend, is Friday, April 9, by 5 p.m. Cookers are encouraged to contact Bobby Tomlinson at 662-325-7452 to secure their entry in this year's contest.
The pig-cooking contest will again lead off Super Bulldog Weekend activities, Friday, April 16. Contestants will again vie for prizes in the whole hog, pork shoulder and pork ribs divisions. Bryan Foods, of West Point, Miss., will have available dressed meat in all three categories for contestant purchase, beginning Friday morning. Other contestant responsibilities and order forms are available through Tomlinson.
The pig-cooking area will be immediately west of Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field, east of the Bost Extension building. Contest judging will begin Saturday morning, April 17.
