State Tracksters To Compete In Alabama Relays
On Friday, Lady Bulldog Jackie Rentschler will compete in the women's 10,000-meter run. She is the only MSU athlete slated to compete on day one. The majority of the events will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
The women's field includes Alabama, Alabama State, UAB, Alabama-Huntsville, Arkansas State, Austin Peay, Bevill State Comm. College, Birmingham-Southern, Bowling Green, Eastern Illinois, Jackson State, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Lamar University, Lindenwood, Lipscomb, McKendree College, Middle Tennessee, New Orleans, Ole Miss, Samford University, Southern Mississippi, Suno-New Orleans, Troy State, UT-Martin, UT-Chattanooga, UW Parkside, Wallace State College, West Virginia, Western Kentucky and Western Michigan.
The men's teams participating are Alabama State, Alabama-Huntsville, Arkansas State, Birmingham-Southern, Bowling Green, Eastern Illinois, Huntington College, Jackson State, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Lamar University, Lindenwood, Lipscomb, Louisville, McKendree College, Middle Tennessee, New Orleans, Ole Miss, Rend Lake, Samford University, Southern Mississippi, Suno-New Orleans, Tennessee, Tennessee State, Troy State, UT-Martin, UT-Chattanooga, Wallace State College, West Georgia and Western Kentucky.
State's 2002 men's 4x100-meter relay team currently holds the Sam Bailey Track and Field Complex record with their 39.29 performance. Glenn McFadden, Marquis Davis, Dion Crabbe and Pierre Browne were members of the team.
