MSU Basketball Opens NCAA Play In Orlando

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Mississippi State, champions of the SoutheasternConference and a national No. 2 seed, will open NCAA Division I Men'sBasketball Championship play against 15th-seeded Monmouth in first-roundaction at the TD Waterhouse Centre in Orlando, Fla., Friday, March 19.
The MSU-Monmouth winner will play the winner of the Xavier-Louisvillecontest on Sunday, March 21, for the right to advance to the Atlantaregional, March 26-28.
