The Bulldogs finished the year with a 42-20-1 record, the top overall winning percentage in the Southeastern Conference (.675) and advanced to NCAA postseason competition for the seventh time in the last eight seasons.
In final NCAA statistics, Mississippi State finished sixth nationally in fielding percentage with a school-record and SEC-leading .974 fielding mark. MSU's 3.58 team earned run average was the 21st-best in the NCAA.
