MSU-Winthrop Game Canceled
STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Heavy rains in the Starkville area Wednesday have forced the cancelation of the Mississippi State-Winthrop baseball game at Dudy Noble Field. The game will not be rescheduled.
No. 17 Mississippi State (36-15-1, 15-11 SEC) closes out its 2003 regular season home schedule this weekend, playing host to long-time SEC Western Division rival Alabama (32-20, 13-14 SEC) in a three-game series. Friday's series-opener is set for 6:30 p.m. The Bulldogs and the Crimson Tide meet Saturday at 2 p.m. and close out the series with a 1:30 p.m. game Sunday.
