MSU Women's Golfers Named To SEC Academic Honor Roll
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must (1) have a 3.0 grade point average for either the past year (two semesters or three quarters) or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for their career, (2) be a sophomore or higher in terms of academic classification and (3) have 24 semester or 36 quarter hours toward a degree.
Gertsson, a 2002 graduate, held a 3.73 grade point average in fitness management. The Angelhom, Sweden native is a four-time recipient of the award, becoming just the third Lady Bulldog to achieve this feat behind Lina Thoren ('02) and Pia Josefsson ('01).
Former Lady Bulldog Ashley Moffett had a 3.21 in biological sciences to earn a spot on the honor roll for the first time. Current Lady Linksters honored on the list are Anna Knutsson who holds a 3.76 in international business and Catalina Olarte with a 3.95 in computer engineering. Both are first time honorees.
The four Lady Bulldogs become a part of the storied history of this award at MSU, now totaling 49 honorees.
