MSU Men's Track Up To Third In Trackwire.com Rankings
STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Mississippi State men's track team jumped up two spots to third in the latest power rankings released by Trackwire.com Tuesday.
The Bulldogs are now projected for 46 points at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Ranking ahead of MSU is Southeastern Conference rivals Auburn and Arkansas. Nine SEC schools are ranked in the nation's top 25 on the men's side.
This is State's highest ranking in track and field in school history.
Head coach Al Schmidt's squads compete Saturday at the Ole Miss Open in Oxford, Miss.
