State Men Improve By 10 Strokes At The SEC Championships
Leading the Bulldogs for the second straight day, Codie Mudd shot a two-over par 72 during round two (147). Mudd enters the final day in a tie for 17th place. Joe Deraney had back-to-back 76 stroke performances leaving him tied in 36th place (152).
On day two, Kellen Maurer shot a seven-over par putting him in 51st place (80-77). In 56th place, Jay Giannetto improved his round one showing by four strokes to a 78 (82-78). Craig Horrocks enters day three at 25-over par in 58th plae (83-82).
Georgia and Tennessee are tied for first place following second round play. Georgia, who shot 288 in the first round on Friday, shot 289 on Saturday while Tennessee, which shot 289 on Friday, shot 288 on Saturday. Both teams are tied at 577.
The individual first-round leader Kevin Kisner of Georgia continues to lead with a 69 on Saturday, giving him a two-day total of 136, four shots under par.
Tee times for the final day of competition begins at 8 a.m. Sunday for the Bulldogs.
