Bulldogs In 8th At The SEC Men's Golf Championships
The tournament was delayed for a few hours due to inclement weather in the area.
Louisville, Ky., native Codie Mudd, in a tie for 22nd place, paces the Bulldogs with a five-over par showing (75). Joe Deraney is one stroke behind teammate Mudd in a tie for 29th place (76).
Tied in 48th place, Kellen Maurer shot a 10-over par 80. Jay Giannetto is in 57th place after shooting a 12-over par (82). Sophomore Craig Horrocks' 83 stroke performance puts him in 58th place entering day two of competition (+13).
The Georgia Bulldogs are in first plac after day one with an eight-over par performance (288). The individual leaders are Georgia's Kevin Kisner and Florida's Brett Stegmaier who both shot three-under par in the first round (67).
Tee times for State begin at 8 a.m. Saturday.
