Lady Bulldogs In 16th After First Day At Bryan National
BROWNS SUMMITT, N.C. -- After first day of the sixth annual Bryan National Collegiate Tournament, Mississippi State's Lady Bulldogs stand in 16th place at the Bryan Park Champions Course. MSU is one of eight SEC schools participating in the tournament and find themselves one stroke behind SEC rival Louisiana State.
The Lady Bulldogs fired a first round total of 315, which placed MSU in 16th. Sofie Andersson leads the Lady Bulldogs as she shot an opening round of 74 and finds herself in multiple tie for 16th. Andersson stands just four strokes out of second place and five strokes of first.
Also participating for MSU is Anna Knutsson, tied for 48th and only four strokes back of teammate Andersson. Beth Irwin is in 65th with an 81. Sophomore, Janet Dyer in her first tournament this season is in a tie 73rd and Catalina Olarte is tied for 84th.
The Lady Bulldogs will compete in the second round of the Bryan National Tournament on Saturday with an 8:30 a.m. start. The Bryan National will conclude on Sunday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
