What is the best thing about playing for Mississippi State?The Girls on the team.
Who influences you the most on and off the field?
My Family.
Does the number on your jersey have any special significance?
It was the first number that my dad picked out for me when I first started playing ball.
What's been the high point of the season so far?
Just knowing the potential that we have on the team, how good we can be and the way we act together. The game is a lot more fun.
What would be the ideal thing for you to do after graduation?
To be a successful coach and raise a good family.
How do you prepare yourself mentally before games and do you have any rituals or superstitions?
I pray before every game.
What do you want to do after college?
To be a softball coach and have a family.
What is it about softball that you like the most?
Everything -- the competition, the girls, the traveling, getting to know people from other teams.
What do you like most about Starkville?
It's a small family town. The hospitality here is very good.
What would you like to accomplish here at MSU before you leave?
I want a ring and my degree in teaching and coaching.
What is the biggest differences between your hometown and Starkville?
There are more things to do in my hometown.
What are you goals for the team this year?
To go as far as possible.
What are some things you do as a team to build team unity?
The team is real close and we hang out a lot together. On road trips we're always doing something.
How much of an effect does head coach Jay Miller have on the team's unity?
He is real big on everybody getting along and treating everybody with respect. I think that helps us be a better team.
What is the best part about being an athlete at MSU?
You get to go to class in sweatpants and a t-shirt. (laughs) You're a part of a family here at MSU.
What is your favorite part of the MSU campus?
All of the athletic facillities - The Hump, Dudy Noble and the MSU Softball Field.
What attracted you to MSU Softball?
I liked the girls on the team and State had a good teaching program.
Where is your favorite place to eat out on Starkville?
I like Old Venice and El Sombrero.
What MSU sports do you like to support?
I like them all.
If you had a choice of one automobile, what would it be?
A Hummer.
