MSU Acquires Additional NCAA Tournament Tickets
STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The Mississippi State Athletic Ticket Office has acquired approximately 2,500 additional tickets for its men's basketball team's appearance in the NCAA tournament's first and second rounds at Birmingham (Ala.) Jefferson Civic Center, MSU Director of Athletics Larry Templeton announced Monday.
Coach Rick Stansbury's Bulldogs will play the Butler Bulldogs, Friday, March 21, in the second game of the evening session (approximately 9 p.m. CT) at the BJCC.
The MSU Athletic Ticket Office sold approximately 1,200 tournament tickets to Superdog donors who purchased 2002-03 season basketball tickets, MSU Director of Ticket Operations Pat Wallace said.
State students may begin ordering tickets at the Bryan Athletic Administration Ticket Office, beginning Tuesday, March 18, at 8 a.m. One ticket request per valid MSU student identification will be accepted at the Bryan Building. The university has 500 tickets allocated for its student body.
The remaining 800 tickets may be purchased by 2002-03 MSU basketball season ticket holders and/or Bulldog Club members on Tuesday, as well, on a first-come, first-served basis. A limit of four NCAA tickets may be ordered.
All tournament tickets must be obtained at Mississippi State's will call window at the main box office of the BJCC (19th Street side), beginning Friday at 8:30 a.m.
Tickets for the NCAA tournament are priced at $120 apiece and may be purchased with an approved credit card by calling 1-662-325-2600 or 1-888-GO-DAWGS.
