Bulldogs Get Soggy Start To 2003 Spring Football
Sherrill put his charges through the first of 15 NCAA-mandated spring practices Monday, the first of three required drills in sweats. State ends its spring practice period with a final scrimmage Saturday, April 12.
Only two Bulldogs missed the initial two-hour workout of the spring. Rising junior punter Jared Cook and classmate wide receiver McKinley Scott both sat out Monday's practice due to illness. Sophomore offensive tackle Richard Burch and junior quarterback Joey Judge were limited in the non-contact drills as they continued to rehabilitate off-season knee surgeries.
MSU returns to the practice field Wednesday, March 19, for another session in sweats.
