MSU Men Finish In 13th Place At The Conrad Rehling Alabama Spring Invitational
Joe Deraney finished with a team low seven-over par in a tie for 18th place (73-77-70=220). Deraney has led the Bulldogs two times this season. Lone senior Codie Mudd finished with a 221, eight-over par, putting him in a tie for 20th place, his fourth top 20 finish of the season.
Tim Satow finished in 66th place after a 239 stroke performance (+26). Kellen Maurer shot a 76 on the final day leaving him in 69th place (82-87-76=245). Jay Giannetto finished the tournament in 70th place after a 75 stroke showing on the final day of competition (90-85-75=250).
Auburn took the team crown with a five-over par tournament appearance (284-286-287=857). Illinois' James Lepp was named the individual medalist. Lepp shot a one-under par on the final day giving him sole position of first place (73-68-70=211).
Next for the Bulldogs is the Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate in Auburn, Ala., to be held at the Saughahatchee Country Club, a 72-par, 6,689 yard course. The three-day tournament will begin on Friday, April 11.
