Leading MSU, Joe Deraney shot a two-over par placing him in a tie for 22nd-place (73). Codie Mudd sits one stroke behind Deraney in a tie for 31st-place (74). The top 44 golfers are within six strokes of each other after one round.
Tim Satow recorded an 80 on day one putting him in 63rd-place (+9). Kellen Maurer shot an 11-over par for a 66th-place finish. In 70th-place, Jay Giannetto shot a first round 90 (+19).
The team leader after 18 holes is 28th-ranked Auburn with an even-par day one showing (284). #33 Lars Brovold of host Alabama and Toledo's Sean McTernan are tied for first with a two-under par (69).
Day two will begin with tee times at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 15.
