State Women To Host No. 31 Alabama And No. 39 Auburn
STARKVILLE, Miss. --? The Mississippi State University women's tennis team (6-7, 0-4) returns home after a seven-match road trip to host 31st-ranked Alabama (10-3, 2-2) on Friday, March 14, at 1 p.m. The match will be held at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre on the campus of Mississippi State.
Alabama leads the series with the Lady Bulldogs 23-10. In their last meeting, State was defeated by the Tide in a 7-0 decision in Tuscaloosa, Ala., in 2002.
On Sunday, MSU will host the No. 39th-ranked Tigers of Auburn (8-4, 1-3) again at Pitts Tennis Centre. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
The series between MSU and Auburn is led by Auburn 17-12. The Lady Bulldogs fell 6-1 to the Tigers at Auburn.
