Florida State Sunshine Classic Resumes Today
#22 'Dogs Set To Take On Kansas, #18 Florida State TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Although periods of light rain continue to move through the Tallahassee, Fla., area, the four-team Florida State Sunshine Classic, whose day two action was completely washed out, will resume today at the Seminole Softball Complex. The 22nd-ranked Bulldogs (12-6), who are coming off a 1-0 heartbreaker to Texas (14-6) in 14 innings Friday evening, will battle Kansas (4-7) in a 10:30 a.m. CT contest to begin the day and will close out Sunday's schedule in a 2:30 p.m. date with host Florida State (14-6). Freshman Melissa Massey (2-2, 0.58 ERA) is slated to get the start against the Jayhawks in the morning with senior Kasey Whitehead (6-4, 1.33) in the circle against the Seminoles.
