Trevor Fitts Named To SEC Baseball Community Service Team
The Helena, Alabama native frequently reads to local children at East Oktibbeha County Elementary and Henderson Ward Stewart Elementary, while also serving as a part-time physical education teacher at Henderson Intermediate School in Starkville. This past July, the recent college graduate led a group of his teammates to Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children in Jackson, where they spent an entire morning spending time with children and delivering gifts.
On the field, Fitts has recorded a team-high six saves with a team-low 2.03 ERA in 31 innings of relief. In 19 appearances against the righty, opponents are hitting just .198.
Fitts and his teammates return to action Thursday as they wrap up the regular season with a three-game series at Tennessee.
