Women's Hoops To Play In SEC/Big 12 Challenge In 2016, 2017

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State will participate in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge for both the 2016 and 2017 seasons, the league offices announced Thursday.
Mississippi State will travel to Iowa State in 2016 before hosting Oklahoma State in 2017.
The 2016 contests will be played Dec. 1-4. Exact dates and television designations will be announced at a later date.
"We are excited to see the SEC/Big 12 Challenge expand in women's basketball," SEC Commissioner Mike Slive said in a release. "The matchups on these four days, each year, will showcase the strength and depth of our women's basketball teams and provide the fans of both conferences with exhilarating games."
The SEC/Big 12 Challenge will feature 10 teams from the SEC and all Big 12 teams. MSU, Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia, Florida and Arkansas will participate both years.
Mississippi State is coming off a record 2014-15 campaign that saw the Bulldogs go 27-7 and 11-5 in the SEC en route to advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Bulldogs set school records for overall and SEC wins while tying the best conference finish in program history with a third-place showing.
