Soccer To Wrap Spring Slate Wednesday Against Memphis In Tupelo
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Aaron Gordon has been pleased with the growth his young Mississippi State soccer team has shown this spring.
He hopes for a strong finish to the exhibition slate Wednesday as the Bulldogs head to Tupelo for an 8 p.m. contest against Memphis.
Wednesday’s contest, which will be played at Ballard Park, will be the second meeting between the two squads in four days. Mississippi State suffered a hard-fought setback to the Tigers in last Saturday’s Open Cup University Showcase in Decatur, Ala.
Gordon’s squad bounced back in the final two games of the event, drawing most of the scoring chances while tying 30-minute sessions against South Alabama and Alabama.
The draw against Alabama came after the Bulldogs won a 3-2 decision against the Crimson Tide in Starkville on April 7.
