Hail State Hoops Awards Banquet Set For April 15
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Fans can celebrate Mississippi State’s historic 2014-15 season April 15 as the Bulldogs host their Hail State Hoops Awards Banquet.
The festivities begin at 6 p.m. in Mize Pavilion, and cost for the event is $25 per person.

In addition to handing out team awards, head coach Vic Schaefer and the Bulldog coaching staff will reflect back on the campaign that saw MSU set school records with 27 overall wins and 11 SEC victories while advancing to the second round of the NCAA Spokane Regional.
The Bulldogs also matched the best SEC finish in school history (third place) en route to earning the program’s first NCAA Tournament berth since 2010.
MSU’s stellar season has earned the squad 17-straight weeks in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll and 16-consecutive weeks in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The squad rose as high as No. 11 this season, the second-highest ranking in program history.
Mississippi State began the year with a school-record 18-straight victories and became the first Division I men’s or women’s program to reach the 22-win mark on the year.
State ended its record win streak one of three undefeated women’s teams in the nation.
Schaefer’s squad also claimed a program-best 17-1 home record while drawing a record 67,598 to Humphrey Coliseum this season. That total included 7,326 for the regular-season finale against Ole Miss, a record for the largest crowd to watch a women’s college basketball game in the state of Mississippi.
