Bulldogs Come In At No. 12 In This Week's Associated Press Poll

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State earned its 16th-straight week in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll Monday, coming in at No. 12.
The Bulldogs fell one spot this week after falling to Kentucky 76-67 in last Friday’s SEC Tournament quarterfinal in Little Rock, Ark.
MSU now waits to find out its NCAA Tournament destination next Monday at 6 p.m. CT.
The ranking came the same day MSU freshman Victoria Vivians was named the winner of the 2015 Gillom Trophy, presented annually to Mississippi’s top women’s college basketball player.
Vivians’ fantastic season helped Mississippi State to a third-place finish in the Southeastern conference and school records for victories with a 26-6 overall mark and 11-5 league record.
Vic Schaefer’s squad is one of five SEC teams in the poll. South Carolina stayed at No. 3, while Tennessee fell one spot to sixth. Kentucky moved up to No. 11 and Texas A&M slipped three places to 21st.
