MSU Women?s Golf End Regular Season Ranked No. 2

Starkville, Miss. – After a compelling regular-season finale, the Mississippi State women’s golf team turns its attention toward the postseason ranked No. 2 nationally, according to birdiefire.com
Just a few days removed from the LSU Tiger Classic, the Bulldogs chipped their way to a second-place finish with a three-day total of 884, while three players placed in the Top 10.
Senior Rica Tse finished second after dropping a sudden death match to LSU’s Elise Bradley. Ally McDonald and Jessica Peng joined Tse as Top 10 finishers as well, coming in 4th and 7th, respectively.
“We have a great team, and I’m very proud of them,” coach Ginger Brown-Lemm said. “We can’t focus on rankings. We have to keep focus on the SEC Tournament coming up and perform well like we have been all season.”
Under the leadership of Brown-Lemm, the Bulldogs have placed in the Top 10 of every tournament this season, including two first-place finishes as well as finishing six of the tournaments in the Top 5, marking the best regular season of golf in MSU history.
Next stop for Mississippi State is the SEC Championships in Birmingham, slated for April 17-19 at Greystone Country Club.
