23 Professional Diamond Dawgs Begin 2014 Journey
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Three former Mississippi State baseball players made Opening Day rosters in Major League Baseball, while five other Diamond Dawg greats are employed by MLB clubs. In addition, 15 others will begin the road to the show in minor league baseball, highlights by 2007 Johnny Bench Award winner Ed Easley (Memphis) and former big leaguer Tyler Moore (Syracuse) in Triple A.
Included in MSU’s total of 23 in professional baseball are nine alone from the 2013 team which advanced to the national championship series at the College World Series in Omaha.
