Frazier Semifinalist For Brooks Wallace Award

The Bishop, Ga., product leads Mississippi State with 79 hits and will carry the team’s second-highest batting average, .338, into this week’s SEC Baseball Tournament in Hoover, Ala.
The Brooks Wallace Award, sponsored by Mizuno, recognizes the play of college baseball’s top shortstops. Frazier, fielding at a .970 clip, leads the SEC with 197 assists and has fielded 51 of Mississippi State 63 double plays.
The Bulldogs’ lead-off hitter ranks fourth in the league with 79 hits and 49 runs scored. He is two off the SEC lead with 15 doubles and one out of the lead with six triples.
This year’s Brooks Wallace Award recipient will be announced June 28 in Lubbock, Texas, at the College baseball Hall of Fame’s Night of Champions.
