Lady Bulldog Tennis Set To Conclude Road Swing At UK

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State Lady Bulldog tennis (6-7, 0-5 SEC) will head to Kentucky to take on the No. 38 ranked Lady Wildcats (11-5, 2-3) Sunday, concluding a five-match road swing for State. The match is set to begin at 11 a.m. CT on the UK campus.
Georgiana Patrasc, a freshman currently playing at the top spot for MSU, will be a crucial component to a Maroon and White triumph. Patrasc posted an impressive 7-5, 6-3 upset victory against Vanderbilt's No. 46 ranked Lauren Mira in the team's Friday match in Nashville. Patrasc is now 8-5 in dual match singles play as a rookie. Fellow newcomer Sarai Flores has also been solid this season in singles, currently holding a 5-4 mark at the No. 6 spot for MSU.
MSU's No. 46 ranked doubles pair of Alexandra Perper and Naomi Tran will also be vital to a Lady Bulldog win. The pair stands at 7-2 on the dual season at the No. 1 position, including an upset win of the nation's No. 4 team earlier this season.
No. 38 ranked Nadia Ravita leads the Lady Wildcats. The freshman took down No. 37 Caroline Rhode-Moe of Ole Miss 7-5, 6-1 in the team's 4-3 loss to UM on Friday.
Following this weekend's action, State will return home to host Arkansas and LSU on March 22 and 24, respectively, at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre on the MSU campus. Match times are set for 3 p.m. and 1 p.m.
