Lady Bulldog Tennis Set To Host No. 19 Tulsa Saturday
STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State's Lady Bulldog tennis will host its fourth straight weekend of home competition as they prepare to take on the No. 19 ranked Lady Hurricanes of Tulsa Saturday morning. Match time is set for 10 a.m. CT at MSU's A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre.
After falling 4-3 in last week's tough match against to Stephen F. Austin, the Lady Bulldogs are looking to post the team's fourth victory of 2012.
Tulsa will bring two ranked singles players to the table as they face off against MSU. Sophomore Samantha Vickers is ranked at No. 68 nationally and senior Anastasia Erofeeva stands at No. 71, according to the latest ITA rankings.
The Lady Bulldogs will also be hosting a home match this Sunday against in-state foe, the Golden Eagles of Southern Miss. Mississippi State leads the overall series 30-3 in matches posted against the Lady Eagles. MSU and USM will face off at 12 p.m. Sunday.
