Schedule Announced For NCAA Gainesville Super Regional
STARKVILLE, Miss. - The dates and times for Mississippi State's NCAA Super Regional competition at Florida were announced early Tuesday morning by the NCAA.
The Bulldogs (37-23) and Gators (48-16) will meet this Friday-Sunday, June 10-12, at McKethan Stadium in Gainesville, Fla. Game times and television assignments are as follows:
Friday, June 10 - 12 p.m. ET (11 a.m. CT), ESPN2
Saturday, June 11 - 12 p.m. ET (11 a.m. CT), ESPN
Sunday, June 12 [if necessary] - 1 p.m. ET (12 p.m. CT), ESPN
- All games will also be webcast on ESPN3.com
State stormed through the Atlanta Regional this past weekend, ousting Southern Miss (3-0), Austin Peay (8-3) and upsetting host Georgia Tech (7-3) to move into Super Regional competition.
Florida was just as dominant in the Gainesville Regional, ousting Manhattan (17-3) and Miami twice (5-4, 11-4) to claim its regional crown.
The best of three series between MSU and UF will feature two of four Southeastern Conference teams remaining among the final 16 NCAA teams. Vanderbilt and South Carolina are also still alive in the hunt for the national championship.
The eight Super Regional winners will advance to the 2011 College World Series which begins June 18 in Omaha, Neb.
