BASEBALL DOUBLE-HEADER BACK AT DUDY NOBLE FIELD
For the first time in nearly 20 years, a regularly scheduled Southeastern Conference baseball double-header returns to Dudy Noble Field this Saturday. It will be nostalgic for many of us.
Thanks to the University of Alabama and the SEC, we have altered the normal conference baseball weekend format to allow us to play two on Saturday this weekend. With graduation occurring nearby at Humphrey Coliseum on Friday night and Saturday morning, both Alabama and the league office permitted us working around those ceremonies. What the alteration allows is the first regularly scheduled SEC double-header at Dudy Noble Field since May 15, 1993, when we played LSU.
First game is scheduled for 2 p.m., with the second game to follow approximately 30 minutes after. Both games will be nine inning contests and Game 28 tickets are good for both. Hope you’ll make plans to support the Bulldogs and experience an SEC double-header at Dudy Noble.

FOOTBALL SEASON TICKET RENEWAL DEADLINE ARRIVES
In just five days, the football season ticket priority renewal deadline will be upon us. Following the processing of those ticket orders, current season ticket holders who have requested additional season tickets or new customer orders will be processed.
With the priority deadline looming, the ticket office has processed nearly 7,000 orders over the last two weeks, and renewals continue to flood in. Officially, we sold 43,387 season tickets a year ago, obviously an all-time record, and a credit to our great Bulldog fan base.
The interest is certainly unprecedented. When you consider that we have orders from more than 1,100 accounts totaling in excess of 2,600 tickets from new customers or existing fans looking to increase their order, tickets are in high demand for this coming year. As happens every year, the rush to submit ticket orders in the final weeks prior to the renewal deadline will logjam the ticket office. It could be well into May or early June before we know if any season tickets were not renewed.
Remember, the season ticket order renewal deadline is May 2. You don’t want to miss that deadline this year, because any non-renewed season tickets will be sold to those on the waiting list, who then retain the rights to those seats for 2012.

TODAY, TOMORROW, FOREVER….PART 3
As we announced two weeks ago in this column, fund-raising has begun toward the construction of a new football training facility on our campus through our “Today, Tomorrow, Forever” initiative.
At that time, we began a series of videos to help answer many of the questions about the exciting future of our football facilities. Dan Mullen and I taped a four-part video series that discusses our needs and plans for both the training facility and future stadium expansion.
The third segment on football facilities can be viewed here, and in it, for the first time, we share stadium renderings that we developed with Populous. We’re excited about the possibilities at Davis Wade, and I think you will be as well.
All Bulldog Club members, alums, fans, and friends can now contribute to this effort through the Bulldog Club. Please follow this link for more information.

RUNNERS FROM OUR STATE MAKE A NAME IN BOSTON
Last week in this column, I mentioned how some runners from Our State had made a name for themselves by competing in the 115th Boston Marathon. And while technically not currently residing in Our State, a native Mississippian and a team doctor, Dr. Allen Sills, of Nashville, also ran at Boston and finished in three hours, 56 minutes. Congrats, Allen.
As I also mentioned in this space last week, I'm sure there were some other Bulldogs who had the honor of participating, so let us know is you'd like us to share your accomplishment with our readers.
