Women's Golf Volunteers For

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Saturday morning the Mississippi State women’s golf team volunteered for “A Day to Smile” at J.L. King Park in Starkville. The one-day special needs camp was organized by Ambassador Girl Scout Shanice Campbell as part of her Girl Scouts Gold Award Project.
The Gold Award Project is the culmination of all the work a
Girl Scout puts into “going for the Gold.” The project is more than a good
service project – it encompasses organizational, leadership and networking
skills. The Girl Scout Gold Award is the
highest honor that a Girl Scout may earn.
Along with the Lady Bulldogs, the Starkville Police Department, Starkville Fire Department and Mayor Park Wiseman attended the event. Games and crafts made for a perfect day to smile.
MSU returns to the links this weekend in Oxford, Miss., at the Rebel Intercollegiate in their last tune up before the SEC Championships.
