Wednesday Bulldog Update - 3/16/11

It was an honor to not only be in the company of our President Dr. Mark Keenum and several others from our university, but also at the Capitol with Jack to recognize his achievements over a long career behind the microphone, calling Mississippi State athletic events.
Both resolutions allude to “You Can Wrap This One in Maroon and White,” his signature call following Mississippi State athletic victories, and it was our pleasure to help the legislature wrap this day in Mississippi State maroon and white.

LIVE AUDIO STREAMING OF MSU SPORTS ON iPHONE APP
In case you missed our official announcement last week, we are pleased to tell you that the premium version of our official iPhone app now features live audio streaming from Maroon to the Max. For a limited time (remainder of this spring), fans can access live audio streams for the remainder of our baseball games, selected softball contests, and the DawgTalk call-in show by downloading the premium version of our iPhone app (just $4.99).
Visit this link to download the premium app now from iTunes.
Once the app loads, you can view upcoming live audio offerings by selecting the "Radio" button at the bottom of the screen. A "Listen" link will appear at the published air time for each event.
As we continue to move forward, we get many questions regarding similar offerings for Android, Blackberry and iPad platforms. Our Android app is currently in development and we hope to have it available by the end of the spring. Development of iPad and Blackberry apps will soon follow that project.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to work with our technology partner, Neulion, Inc., in developing products to suit your desires to follow our programs while you are on the go.

DOUBLEHEADER DAY RETURNS TO MSU BASEBALL
It may be more than a month away, but it’s never too early to start planning for a big day at Dudy Noble Field. Due to university graduation ceremonies, we have asked Alabama and the Southeastern Conference for permission to play the regularly scheduled Friday, April 29, baseball game with the Crimson Tide as part of a doubleheader on Saturday.
Permission was granted and we will now play a traditional doubleheader on Saturday the 30th, beginning at 2 p.m. The two nine-inning games is a return to the old days at Dudy Noble Field when fans could enjoy a full Saturday of baseball, at least for one weekend. We’re looking for a big crowd at Dudy Noble that day.

IT’S SPRING BREAK, BUT THERE’S NO BREAK FROM MAROON
The students have been gone from campus, enjoying a week off from class and some down time. But Maroon Friday never takes a week off. Are you in the maroon?

We appreciate what you do for Mississippi State Athletics and want to encourage you to get others involved. There are three things you can do to help the athletic department at Mississippi State reach its desired goals –
1. Buy Season Tickets
2. Financially Support the Bulldog Club
3. Get Others To Do The Same
Thanks for taking the time to read this Update.
Go Dawgs!
