MSU VB Recruiting Earns Honorable Mention

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State's 2009-10 volleyball recruiting class has been accorded honorable mention status in a national ranking of collegiate volleyball recruiting by PrepVolleyball.com.
"We are very proud to have our 2010 recruiting class recognized by PrepVolleyball," said second-year MSU head volleyball coach Jenny Hazelwood. "This is a solid group and these newcomers will definitely be making their mark on our program."
The Bulldogs' recruiting class includes four newcomers who distinguished themselves in the prep ranks --- libero Iwa Belisario from Ankeny (Ankeny High School), Iowa, defensive specialist Sydny Knose of Memphis (St. Agnes School), Tenn., outside hitter Dani McCree from Rialto (Summit High School), Calif., and setter Paris Parret of Frisco (Liberty High School), Texas --- and a junior transfer from BYU-Hawaii, middle blocker Hannah Wilkinson of Elk Point, S.D.
Southern California nudged out Penn State and Stanford for the top overall national ranking. Tennessee was ranked fourth and LSU 27th. Mississippi State and SEC rivals Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and South Carolina received honor able mention in the national recruiting survey. The newcomers and eight veteran players returning from last fall's 9-22 edition will begin preseason volleyball practice on campus in August.
