MSU Summer Baseball Camps Begin June 7 At Dudy Noble Field

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Preparations are moving ahead full-speed and registration continues for the 2010 Mississippi State University Summer Baseball Camps, set to begin their six-week run June 7 at Dudy Noble Field.
The slate of camp sessions begins with high school team camps June 7-10 and June 14-17. MSU coordinator of camps Nick Mingione reports that more than 20 teams representing six states will take part in this year's team camps, which provide instruction and game competition between established high school teams.
The Junior-Senior High School All-Skills Camp (July 5-9), the Junior/Senior High School Pitcher/Catcher Camp (July 9-11), and the popular Youth Day Camp (July 12-15) complete this summer's baseball camp offerings. The all-skills and pitcher/catcher camps provide specialized training for baseball athletes in grades 7-12, while the youth day camp, designed for baseball players in grades 1-6, covers all phases of the game with special emphasis on proper fundamentals.
Second-year MSU head baseball coach John Cohen and members of the Bulldog baseball staff will head up the lineup of camp instructors. Camp sessions will be held at Dudy Noble Field, the climate-controlled Palmeiro Center, and the Shira Athletic Complex.
To register for the camp or obtain additional information, call the MSU Baseball Coaches Office (662-325-3597) or visit the MSU Athletics Department web site (www.MStateAthletics.com/camps).
